England's natural resources, such as iron for machines and coal for power, were a main reason as to why they were the first to industrialize Children for labor because they are cheap and have small bodies. Products were cheaper, cities flourished, and more jobs were available. It is quite obvious that the revolution did create positive and negative effects on society. The simple resources for industrialization were land, capital, and labor, leading to mechanization and the modern factory system changing industries. Because of their low social status and lack of money and land, the laborers were forced to work for people of higher social status, or the bourgeoisie.
Undoubtedly, the Industrial Revolution had a considerable number of negative effects. Stronger homes were being built, and the governments started to take notice of hygiene and sanitation. These horrible conditions led to the factory workers becoming outraged and forming unions and strike.
